The last sunflowers that I grew in my children's family home. After planting many crops over the years, these last three sunflowers self-seeded. I carefully arranged them for the last time on my dining room table. In my final days, I observed them as they slowly withered and died as I packed to leave. For me, these three flowers captured perfectly the sorrow that was felt throughout the home at this time.
